Definitely. Cavities are caused by bacterial decay of the tooth, and bacterial decay causes odor... just like when food spoils or a living creature dies. It doesn't have to be cavities though, bad breath can also be caused by gum disease or bacterial growth on the tongue. Other causes of bad breath may have nothing to do with the teeth or mouth- it can be related to digestive problems or metabolic imbalance. This is one of those things that only a qualified health care provider can tell you for sure, and only after a thorough examination. And a dentist is the place to start.

Well it all depends. For the most part no. but if the tooth is real badly broken down and infected, then the tooth could be draing and that could be causing the smell and or bad taste as well. Just just a simple cavity..no.

Yes, it can... Cavities are created from too much sugar in your mouth. It is important to brush your teeth at least 2 times a day. Try using Colgate TOTAL .

If you have an infection in your gum, yes.
Your breath can stink if your sinuses are infected, too!
