alright some of you might think this is funny,but i really can't wait to start my first period! does anybody know what age i'll be when i start my first period? thanx in advance!

It all depends. If you have already started to notice hair under your arms, odors (smells), or have started developing breast then it will probably be soon. Also, you might notice discharge (wet spots) on your underwear. My sister got her period when she was ten but the average is 11 or 12 years old. You don't need to worry about it for now, just enjoy being young, once you get it, it will really get on your nerves!

Its different for everyone... some people start as early as 9 years old but some as late as 15 years old... the best gauge will be to find out when your mum's started... it should be around the same time...

Well 8 is usaully too young (though African Americans tend to start earlier than white girls), 9-14 is normal. Don't be in a hurry, it's not exactly fun. Also, you shouldn't be on this site at your age.

i started when i was 12 in the 5th grade! it sucks once u get it though cause you have to make sure you dont over flow & after a while u might want to use a tampon because those help when you wanna play sports or p.e. classes

Around the age of 9-14.
If you know when your mom and grandmothers started, you can get a good guess, but its not perfect.
I know you are anxious to grow up, but please try to remember to appreciate today too. You'll be there soon enough.

well... you won't know until it happens...most girls start their between the ages 11-14, but more and more cases of girls starting their cycle before the age of ten are occurring. Believe me, once you get it, you'll wish you never had it.
