I SOMETIMES EVEN HALF TO LITERALLY CRAWL TO THE BATHROOM!! And please don't tell me about a bunch of silly home remedies and such. I NEED REAL HELP!!!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! However, I guess I need to clarify some things. I have seen many PCP's, have been on an antidepressants for years, am taking pain medication (which actually GIVES ME ENERGY-does NOT make me sleepy AT ALL) for fibromyalgia, etc, etc.. have had sleep studies & a lot of blood work done as well, to no avail. I don't think that I have found a doctor who cares, or doesn't have a God complex, or JUDGES ME because I'm on pain meds. I am even on SSI (disability) due to the fact that I cannot even hold down a job cuz I can't get out of bed - BTW - I SLEEP FOR DAYS ON END, so I don't think that the LACK of sleep is a problem - the quality, however, might be a contributing factor as I often wake up with the cold sweats (menopausal??-age 44) & have to change the bedding (or often just go to couch or something cuz I DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO MOVE AT ALL!) THANKS FOR READING & ALL SUGGESTIONS! When answering, ask ANYTHING I may still need to clarify. THANKS SOOO MUCH!

You need to be in the care of a good rheumatologist. They specialize in this syndrome. I've had it for years. There are lots of great medicines to help you sleep, which is one of the most important things you need. You can also get medicine for pain.
Don't put off doing this, please. I promise you that a good rheumatologist can help!
Hang in there!!

Yes, first go to your family doctor and try to get restful sleep. The doctor may prescribe a mild sedative for bedtime or he may send you to a sleep clinic first. Second, and this is really hard, do as much exercise as you can. It helps with the fatigue as well as the pains that come along with it. Third, you have to remember to never give up on yourself. This is something that you didn't want in your life and you are doing all you can to have a pain and not be one. Good job. Your family doctor will probably send you to a host of other doctors. Use their skills to add to your own. After all is said and done, you know your own symptoms better than anyone else. God bless.

I dont know exactly where you can go to look up that information. However, if you have a general practitioner they may be able to refer you to someone. If you have insurance, there should be a customer service number on the back of the card. If you call them, they may be able to direct you to doctors in your area who specialize in CFS. Also, do a search for CFS treatments online and that may direct you to something useful. Sorry i cant be of more help, but i wish you the best of luck.

Well, for starters, you should visit your local family practitioner, (family doctor) and tell him about your worries. My guess is he would tell you to higher your blood sugar or calorie intake for more energy, but that's just me. But type of doctor... probably either a physiologist, or my best guess would be a pshyciatrist to see if it might just be a mental issue. Good luck with you're question!

incapacitated.....and your primary doctor can prescribe medications if u really have cfs, he will check ur thyroid, blood sugar, or just have your electrolytes checked just to see why you are tired all the time. he will also check if u have clinical depression.
