I use MS Word 2000 at home, and the drawing canvas can be by-passed, but at work I have the 2003 version, and I want to be able to use the drawing tools without the canvas.

Is there a way to do this?

PantherBlack is a bot! Yahoo! is overtaken by bots.

You should try going to View> Toolbars and switch off the Drawing toolbar.
