CATS! I love my little (14 lb) Gizmo

If you're asking this in regards to buying a cat or a dog, then:
Dogs, I've found, are usually very hyper (if you get a pup)...and they usually need someplace to run. So, if you live in the city, and live in an apartment or something, I'd say a dog isn't what you'd want. But, if you live in the country, a dog would be great! For example, if you got a dog, it would keep away animals (if you keep it outside)...
Cats are great inside pets...and also they are great at keeping out annoying rodents! Cats are also great in the country, for the same reason.
If you're asking just to see what other people like:
Cats are my favorite pets...everything about them is just so neat! How flexible they are, how fast they are....just all-around cool. Also, the cat that I have is very loving...I've had her for about...two years, I think...and she's gotten to the point that if I let her in the house, she'll follow me all around...when I'm watching TV, or reading, she'll come and lay in my lap, purring until she falls asleep...

Hope this answers your question!

I would defiently go with cats! I have always been a cat person. I think cats are more obediant, they potty train easier than dogs, and they dont make such loud noise! If your looking to buy an animal go with a cat!

I have had cats all my life and love them to bits having said that three years ago we bought a curly coat retriever she gets along with the cats famously my old girl being the boss (cat) so it depends on what you want and how much free time you have.

It truly depends on your situation. I love all animals and have had cats, dogs, a horse and many birds. Nothing "exotic".

Years ago, I had strays, etc. When I got married we took my cats with us. Then we wanted a dog. After much research (I worked for vets) we decided upon a doberman puppy. The beginning of a love affair with the breed! For years I was very active in obedience, then breeding, and rescue too. Formed the first dobe rescue squad in Massachusetts. When I wasn't showing, my dobies were rescue.

I was given an "old rodeo horse" when I was about 20. I grew up with and loved horses, but for the very first time I learned about the responsibility of caring for one. I only got her after I proved to them I could ride her. But didn't really have the money for a saddle & bridle. I'd been riding bareback for many years, so that wasn't an issue, but it was a rude awakening when she only had a halter and ran away from me! LOL. That was the end of my love affair with horses for many years (I've since changed my mind - just didn't know enough back when).

I've had many birds over the years. My favorite was a particular cockatiel that MADE me buy him. Looking for a parakeet for some kids, but attracted to this adorable bird. Every time I got near him he would SING and flap his wings and positively mesmerize me. I would walk away, and he would scream. First thing I knew, I was buying him, a cage, toys, you name it. We had a wonderful time together. That was when I was in an apartment that didn't allow pets....

About 10 years ago, I decided I wanted to show & breed again. Felt I was too old to deal with a litter of 12 doberman puppies (let me tell you about cleanup! LOL). So I decided on cats.

I'm so very happy with my choice. I show and raise Ragdolls. They are wonderful loving, funny companions.

So as I said at the beginning - it depends on your situation.

Have fun picking your very special pet! :-)

I like all animals. Cats are unique, independent, and quirky, dogs are loyal, playful, and proud.....there are pros to either, depending on your living situation of course. When we buy a house, we plan on getting at least ONE dog. We have two cats right now, a 12lb. orange and white tiger male (Blaze), and a 7lb. dilute calico female (Lotus).

That being said, I also like reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds....animals are just fun all around.

Both. I have one dog and four cats, and they all get along, for the most part.
