If you found out that you had early stage alzheimers and also cancer. Would you go through with the cancer treatments to beat the cancer?

Maybe, maybe not. I think you have to look inside your heart to decide what's best for you. If this pertains to you, if you are the one with alzheimers, then I would recommend writing something for each of your family members stating how much you love them, to cherish the memories, etc...Because I know two people that have alzheimers and they are in stage 4 and can't do anything anymore.

Huh? If you were the person involved in this scenario you probably wouldn't remember the doctor said you had cancer.

If you were the caregiver then you might be responsible (according to the law) for getting that person the cancer treatments whether or not they wanted those treatments.

Sometimes the law can force us to do things. If it's a matter to save your life and the law and your doctor knows about it (that you have cancer), it must be treated.

I think that not only depends on what type of cancer it is, but also what the treatment for the cancer is and how draining it would be. If the treatment for the cancer is difficult, then hell with it, live your life to the fullest.

I think this of course is something you would have to decide for yourself, but personally no I would not! I have an aunt who has cancer and she is in her 70's the treatment for the cancer has made her alot worse and she says she wish she had never started it! Think I would just live in my own little world until the cancer took me away! (Didn't mean to make a joke of it)

Depends of the life you're living.
If you don't have anyone in your life (no parents or siblings, no husband/wife or children) I would say no because who would take care of you?
OK... I forgot, if you have Alzheimer that wouldn't matter...

However... I still say no because I have a co-worker with a parent with Alzheimer and is very painful to watch him going and the family also suffering.

yea probably. it's all a question of quality of life.I imagine the stress from the alzhiemer's will only progress the cancer.

i'd divorce my wife and apply for tons of credit cards....run up the balances and kill myself before the diseases kick in.....(that way my wife wouldn't be responsible for the credit card bills.)
