when this lite is blinking my cruse control does not work.

Depending upon the system, usually when the traction control light blinks, it means the system is working at that time. But from what you describe, I think there is something wrong with the system and needs a technician willing to work on ABS/TC systems to diagnose (usually a dealer is best for this as some independants shy away from systems like this)

It is designed to disable the cruise control if the traction control kicks in. If the light is blinking then you need to get it checked out, I recommend a dealer for this due to the tests needed to be preformed. Sounds like a speed sensor bad.

It sounds like the abs module is at fault, or the speed control cut off switch is leaking brake fluid and making a short for the 2 problems
