Your vet would be able to tell you for sure. I wouldn't go by what any random person says on the internet about something like that.

And dogs do not have to be 10 pounds in order to get worming medication. My chi is only 3 pounds, and she will always be three pounds, and she takes a worming pill every month.

It's .25 but if it's nemex (or yellow as it comes under many different names.) go ahead and give 1.5 ml/cc it won't hurt them and you know they will have swallowed enough. Repeat in 2 weeks. Only kills hooks and rounds. Be sure to check a stool sample at the vet for coccidia. It's very prevalent in puppies and can be fatal if left untreated.

All dogs must be 10 pounds before you can give them liquid or tablet worming medication. I have had personal experiance with small pups and dogs, and I would suggest that you take your puppies to the vet before giving them any medications at this current weight.

This is not something you want to do yourself. Take the puppies to the vet for the worming because they are just too delicate.

How old are they? I would call your local vet and ask them - or let them do the worming. They may be too young or just too tiny to worm right now.

I would probably ask my vet or breeder. It's easy to figure out the dose based on the 5ml/10lb formula (works out to .5ml per lb or .25ml per .5 lb) , but with such tiny little doggies there is likely very little safe margin for error.

please please leave that up to your vet! there are some good answers on here--the ones that are telling you the same thing as i am. an 8oz chi is too precious to guess about med. dosages. just take them to your vet. better to be safe than sorry. good luck!!
