Do all kittens like bread or is mine strange?

My kitten loves any kind of bread, pretzel, waffle, pancake & will literally attack my plate no matter where I'm eating, is this normal?

He weirds me out sometimes, he even like spinach!

Yes, he eats kitten food just fine, he actually runs off the older cat so he can have the bowl to himself! He's such a piglet! But he has endless energy! He loves attacking my ankles, I'm the only one he does it to!

When two of my cats were kittens, we couldn't leave bread out on the counter. The top of the loaf would be nibbled at - plastic bag and all. One of my other cats likes lettuce, and another likes popcorn. One of the bread eaters likes beer. He'll lick my beer bottle if I set it down. He also chews the handles off of plastic grocery store bags and eats wool. But I think each of one of them are wierd ;)

Hehehehe! Sounds like your kitten is training you! :-)

An occassional treat is fine, but he should be on a good quality kitten food. If you'd like to give him a treat, try to stick with meat or fish. A little bit of these other things are ok, but real food is best. Never grapes, raisins or chocolate - it's toxic to cats!

And if you don't want him eating from your plate as an adult, you'd best train HIM instead of the other way around.

I too have a cat that's into bread. So much so that I have to keep all loaves in the cupboard now. If I leave it on top of the fridge, he'll tear holes in the plastic, chew on a few pieces, and leave the rest to go stale.

He doesn't come after me when I'm eating it, though.

What kind of kitten food are you feeding them?
If they are small kittens then it's a bad thing to teach them or allow them to eat people food. Their kitten or cat food will have enough vitamins and minerals for them. Eating people food will make them fat quickly, and they could get diabetes which will shorten their life.

I had a cat once that like spaghetti; one other one used to love yogurt, the one I have now is attracted to olives (it must be something in the juice), and to clorox (and clorox and cleanser are deadly for pets so I have to keep an eye on her to make sure she is safe)..

A lot of cats will eat anything offered to them, especially if he sees that you're eating it. While cats are carnivores, domesticated cats are scavengers.

Most cats enjoy arugula ("rocket") lettuce and melon--you can give him a little bit to taste/play with, but don't make table scraps a regular part of his diet. Cats should eat mostly cat food, which is formulated to provide them the correct nutrition.

It's normal enough, I wouldn't let him have a whole lot of human food but he'll be fine. Also don't let him attack your plate otherwise he will grow and learn that is okay, kind of like a dog begging.

Thats OK, Diego likes raw greenbeans freshly picked from out garden!

Its OK to occasionally give your baby some bread, but let him know that attacking your plate is not acceptable. Its cute now, but wait until he is an adult.

Well i once had a cat who ate onions, so i dont think bread is too weird. anyway, she was my best friend and liked to sit on my shoulder whenever i ate anything so i always gave her some to try. cats are just cool and love the attention too

Umm I wouldn't give him spinach but my cats love bread too! Bread is just carbs and there are carbs in cat food sooo..

My cat likes bacon, crab legs, Dorito's, Cheetos, eggrolls, Boar's Head turkey and chicken, tacos, Cheeze Its and cake.
