You can't check out a car on Carfax and tell things like how well it was maintained, or what sort of damage it may have. You would be better off taking a mechanic to see the car, or bring the car to a mechanic on a test drive. Cars, like anything else respond to the way they are treated, and not all mistreatment gets reported by Carfax, or any other site on the net...After all, what does Carfax know about your present car? Not much, if anything, right?

www.carfax.com can tell you about the cars history. But other things you should do is take it into a mechanic to make sure there's no mechanical problems. Also get down underneath the vehicle and check to see if the frame is str8t. If it's not, the car has been involved in a serious accident and wasn't properly repaired. If this is the case, you should look at another vehicle. Another website you want to go to is kelly blue book to check the actual value of the vehicle you're looking at.
