Do you find these things a well needed break kind of like having a sense of humor about yourself or do you take it as a literal attack and consider it blasphemy?

I find that movie amusing. To me its nothing but just some harmless satire such as FSM.

What do you think?

What is FSM? I can't pin a name to that one....

I find some of the movies to be pretty blasphemous, but some of them are right on target. "SAVED" had me rolling on the floor, because I grew up right in the BUCKLE of the Bible Belt and being a Jehovah's Witness, WELL!! Everyone and their goat was always trying to SAVE SAVE SAVE me... ! LOL So that movie was DEAD on for me, I grew up with Hillary Faith and Mary and all the other girls and guys in that flick. I knew them all personally and all their dirty little secrets.
Some of the movies show people for how they really are when the lights aren't on them and I like that about them.
But I know that leading a life that is pleasing to Jehovah God isn't easy and I do kind of get a little irritated when people who are just trying to lead a good, clean, moral life are slapped with the label of "Bible Thumper". I mean, c'mon guys, Get over it. Our preaching work is only doing what we are told to do by Jesus Christ and is actually something ALL "Christians" are supposed to be doing. ( Matt.24:14 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.)
But I must admit.... I have laughed at ALOT Of the Witness jokes and lines I have heard on Tv and in Movies..... We don't take ourselves toooooo seriously that we can't find a clever joke to be fun!! I mean, I know a good one about a priest, a rabbi and a shaamin in a boat......

I find anything that gets people talking to be a really good thing. I loved the movie and even recommended it to my mom. You have to note that the movie has a lot of Biblical references. It was not blasphemy in my opinion, nor was it an attack on anything. I think the writers put the Bible into the 20th century (it's a fairly old movie).

I think in this day and age we need this sort of humor and entertainment in our lives. What get's offensive to me is when people take it to seriously and impose their views on others. For instance if you thought 'Dogma' was the work of the devil and inturn went out and got the local movie theatre not to show it. That's just taking what you believe and forcing it on others.

Without a sense of humor I'd probably choose not to wake up tomorrow morning. What have I got if I can't laugh?

that movie with jay and silent bob was nothing but sick and blasphemous. now the history of the world, part one? that was a classic. the height of debauchery and sillyness.

my favorite part? when mel brooks as the stand up philosopher (bull$hit artist) is at the colliseum and his joke is: HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS NEW RELIGOUS SECT, THE JEWS? THEY ARE SO POOR (how poor are they) THEY ARE SO POOR, THEY CAN ONLY AFFORD ONE GOD...

terribly terribly sacreligious, but oh, so funny as well. give us christians a chance to laugh at ourselves and our beginnings.

blasphemy, pure and simple.hollywood has been mocking christianity for years.they can call it harmless entertainment.but,to me,it's worthless garbage, that should be burned in fire.half of the movies that hollywood comes out with anymore,is pure, filthy trash.i don't think they have respect for anyone, except themselves.
