Well Kelsey I assume you are also 13. I hope you let her have a word in. But I am sure you know that telling her to shut up all the time is also not very mature.
I can fully understand how you feel, and at 16 I would have acted the same. But you must find out why she acts like that. is she jellous of you and insecure? I would say she need to be reassured. We all act like the pratt when we won't to be told that we are loved.
if kindness won't work find another friend and save yourself a headache

Nothing really. She'll end paying for her mistakes someday. What can you do? Well, I'd stop putting such a high expectation on her to be mature when she's not. It's a difference in how she's probably been raised. You cannot expect what is not reality. And if it annoys you so much, I'm to sorry to say this but you can either stop hanging out with her or stay where you are.

I think you are immature for keeping the company of a friend who obviously annoys you and that you don't want to be around. Just make new friends and get on with your life! That is the natural consequence for those attention seeking behaviors, and she will learn from this that her behavior is immature and unattractive, and that she will not keep friends if she continues to behave that way.

Those people crave attention. The best way to deal with these kinds of people is to ignore them. Find another friend.

you said it yourself... she is trying to get attention... tell her to grow up or shut up... see what happens and then go to her parents and tell them that their daughter is behaving like a retard, or better yet, ask her if she is a little girl. Do this in a little girl voice, and really embarrass her. Try that. Sometimes it takes a little embarrassment to get the problem solved...

I would never tell a "friend" to "shut up".
that's disrespectful and makes you the bad guy.

define insanity this way...
doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get a different result.

you gotta ask yourself " who is the problem in this scene?"

Maybe they think you are trying to get some of the attention they are trying so hard to get - maybe they need to be told why you wish them to shut up - I LOVE - BE QUIET - alot better than I do SHUT UP!@

Time to move on in the friend department. Personalities like that will only bring you down, not help you mature even further.
