I am remodeling my home, and putting an egg-shaped bath in the master bath (http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?item=143002§ion=2&category=10). It would look much better if I didnt have a shower in there (my bathroom is very narrow), so I was thinking about putting something like this instead http://www.danze4less.com/product.php?productid=1468&cat=0&page=3
Would it be ok for resale value?
The other bathroom in the house has a real shower in it.

Absolutely, why not? It is your bathroom and you should remodel it to your taste. And obviously if you already think that it will look better w/o a shower, when it comes time to sell, any buyer is going to notice if a shower looks out of place.

I love having a shower separate from the tub in our master bath.
It's so much easier getting in and out of & easier to keep clean than the tub.

I think you should put in a shower, even if it's a small corner unit (but try to avoid a cheap one).

BTW, that's a good price on the tub filler.
