Is there an agency in New York that will work with Illinois parent?

If not go to NY and file your claim. You really need assistance from child support recovery, or an attorney. They might have better advice.

states co operate more easily on this issue than they ever have before...couple of suggestions, go to the Dept of Child Welfare and see if they can help you...Legal aid should be listed in the phone book...under attorneys or County of....you can probly petition the Family Court in your area to petition for you in New York...I live in New York and really dispose fathers who cheat their children of a decent life. Do not give up until you get the bastard...and to put his name on Dead Beat Dads NY. org I think

Contact the circuit / district court in your county, they can tell which agency does child support enforcement, slow but free.

Google child support for your state. You dont need a lawyer

The problem is that your state will not have long arm jurisdiction over someone in NY to enforce your judgment.
