Here is an interesting little forum comparing enemas to colonics. Both are cleansing and beneficial for colon health.

lol...an enema is something to help you when you're constipated. In other words it helps you go "#2"...Usually parents give it to infants when they are having trouble or our in pain when having #2. You take a syringe and fill it with water and soap and squirt it up your anus. It sounds really gross but its actually a good thing for babies. As long as they're not too young.

did you know you can get a coffee enema thats gross they shoot the coffee through a tube up into you bum just think your *** would be awake for forever with the amount of caffeine

Ok It is when you put water and sometimes a phosphate etc in the rectum with alot of water to make you clean out your bowels.
Either you are having a medical procedure or constipated.
