I know dogs range anywhere for 8-12 weeks depending on the breed. I'm not sure about cats, but would think that less than 8wks would be bad. You need to make sure that the kitten is weaned from the mama and eating solid food before separating.

Breeders don't send their cats home until 12-16 weeks. So at least wait until 10-12. A kitten learns a lot from its mom and siblings in those vital weeks between 6-10.

Usually between 6-8 weeks.

To wean them, about 7-8 weeks. But to go to their new homes, about 12. They need that extra socialization.

P.S. Don't let them all go at once, or Mama cat will be VERY upset!

4 weeks. Wait till the mama trains them to use the litter box. If you plan to sell or give away the kittens you need to get them their first shots (baby shots) before you can advertise them (our laws in this state).

8 weeks is ideal but they can be taken earlier if there is an emergency. The longer they are with their mom the better. Unlesss sheis a feral cat b/c then they will need to be with humnas sooner or they too wil be feral.

The minimum time is 8 weeks of age but it's better to wait longer. They need their mother's milk to be healthy and the mother teaches them things they also need to know.
