Heck yes!!! I actually have been having a lot of those lately. On my last "bad day", I had to commute to NYC from Connecticut in the blazing heat for a computer training only to be told when I got back to my home train station that my credit card had been "eaten" by the parking payment machine and there was nothing they could do about it, I better just cancel the card. The woman actually got an attitude with me about it!!! I am normally a nice person and just walk away, but I exploded at this woman (dripping wet with sweat) because she had the GALL (sp?) to tell me it was my own fault because there was a sign up on the ticket paying machine, didn't I read it??? Well, the sign said "accepts only exact change and credit card payments only". B----tch.
The heat and long-*** commute didn't make my day any better, and in NYC you can meet all sorts of weird people, which I did. The conductor on the train was rude, the people at the Manhattan Mall where we went for lunch were rude, and some crazy guy starting yelling in my ear on the Shuttle subway from Times Square to Grand Central about donating money for his magazine to the homeless. Boy, did I pick a great place to stand on that train!
I personally could never work in the city, I don't know how all these people do it everyday. Yeah, more money, but more rude people and bad situations as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway, that was my most recent "bad" day spent with rude people, and I got a "credit" for my parking fee, but had to cancel my card and get a new one. Grrrrrrr.....damn you for making me re-live that day!!! ;-)

Not only they seem rude but also disrespect you even thought they are your friends.
You must excuse the first kind of people. Maybe they are in a hurry or maybe they just don't see that you are doing them a favor. You shouldn't be disappointed about that because after all you are the good person and you will know inside you. You will be happy that you did something good and nobody's opinion about that matters except yours.
The second problem is more serious. Usually when you're having a bad day, some of your friends who think they are funny try to take advantage of the situation and try to make jokes out of you. In this case you should do two things.
1- Don't give them a reason to start making fun of your situation
2- If thy do, just ignore them and they will know that they are not funny anymore.
Goodluck and never treat people the way they treat you except if they are understanding and kind.

I find that there are times when we just get in the way of someone else's bad mood. Like a deranged Pollyanna, I am always trying to be cheery as it seems to have a terrific impact on me enjoying my own day and having a positive impact on others.
Know that if you get one sourpuss who is self obsessed or just knee deep in family problems, you will also encounter folks that are delighted at your consideration.
Please keep up the good acts. It makes the world a much better place.

Yes. Some days I wonder if there's something in the water/air, cause everybody behaves strange and almost everyone is rude and nobody bothers to be nice or polite. It's weird how everyone seems to be grumpy some days.

yes.
try to think of the worst case scenario (for them), like, their house just burnt down & their car wouldn't start & their cat got run over. Then take a deep breath & realize if that was you, you may not smile or say thank you either.
Most likely they are just rude, but sometimes you have to try VERY hard to be compassionate.

Chances are if such people are under 35 years of age, they weren't taught manners in school. They grew up exposed to rude characters in their favorite tv shows and movies and they think that rudeness is cool.
I truly feel sorry for those poor bastards.

I have those days most of the time at work. I work in a hospital and I get to meet lots of rude staff members and patients. It sucks.

Yes I have. But I also realize that they may have a reason. And I also realize that maybe it is just my viewpoint, and that maybe I am wrong. It happens, get over it, move on.
