I have to get up at 1/4 past 3 in the morning to get to the airport in time. Do you think I should go to bed early, or is it a waste of time, because I won't be able to sleep, anyway? What do you think? Any tips?

Bye bye, everyone - need to have a bath and go to bed now!
Thanks so much for all your wishes and tips. I have extended the expiry date, as they won't let me choose a best answer now. Hope that works - will choose when I get back.

Instead of saying good bye let me say welcome in the local language, Hosgeldiniz :) Even tho. i am away from that beautiful country for ages, i can still speak Turkish. So, hope u enjoy your time during ur vac. there in Turkey, try Turkish cuisine as often as u could, u will love it. And the tip of the day before you leave for Turkey stay awake, coz a loooooooooong journey is already waiting for you. U can sleep while u r flying coz its not a nice thing to watch the clouds for at least 18 hrs,lol...
Take care and stay safe ina safe flight... Wish i was going there too...

Personally I would try to have a an hour or so, you might have a chance for a further nap on the plane.
Hope you have a great time.

In answer to your main question, Its approx 5 3/4 hrs until you need to get up. If I am able to say goodbye 100 times in 1 minute, that means I could say goodbye about 3450 times.
LOL

nah well you would be to excited to sleep anyway and if you get too tired you can have a kip on the plane, after all the interesting things are done like the duty free trolley been and gone the minuscule meal for one has been eaten and the in flight movie doesn't work so the flight attendant is going to flick through a copy of Woman's weekly instead

.Anyway have a safe trip and hope you enjoy your holiday and come back all refreshed and tanned ready for more fun and frolics on Yahoo Answers

No, go to bed when you normally do. You might be able to sleep on the plane or at the airport. Unless you are flying in a Herc or something like that, then wait until you get where you are going. Good luck in Turkey.

Gule Gule- That's goodbye in Turkish. I love Turkey, I lived in Adana at Incirlik AFB for 3 years. It's great. Bring Imodium AD because everyone gets the T's when they go there b/c your body is getting used to the bacteria. Get some rest and make sure you stay hydrated. Do not go to bed when you get there unless it is night time. This will help you avoid jet lag. When you get there go out and have peynirli pide, sigara borek, and tava. YUM!
I'm totally jealous of you. Have Fun!

Bye - have a good time! Let us know whether you had a good hol when you get back.

(Don't you think it would be a good idea if Answers had a feedback page so we could find out how people got on after we have replied.....?)- perhaps I'll post that as a question.
