i'm an f-16 crewchief in the usaf i have been in 7 years. i may not be a pilot but i deal with them all day and everyday. being a pilot is not your main job its like a side job for them. pilots main jobs consist of paper pushers to doctors, all depends on what your degree is in. like the other person said it depends on were you are stationed but they usually fly 8 to 12 hours a week. as for pay well here you go.

You are paid based upon rank and years inservice. As far as hours worked per week... If you are depoyed to an area you might work a lot, but if you are based in the states it is usually an 8 -10 hour day, as there is more to do with it than just flying. But for the most part it is not too rough.

As far as the pay goes...they are paid on a scale, which will go up with the time they have in service. As far as the days and hours worked? your us military...your "working" 24/7. just google anything AF or Navy and you'll find out all you need. If your thinking of becoming military...good luck, and god speed. (its the best decision I ever made :) )
