I LOVE my IUD. It was a bit uncomfortable having it put in (well of course it was, your cervix isn't accustomed to having something forced past it when not in labor), but nothing painful or unbearable. And now... presto... I have 99.9% effective birth control that lasts for FIVE WHOLE YEARS. And once that time has run out, I can have another inserted THE SAME DAY. Best of all, if my husband and I decide we want to get pregnant again, all I have to do is get it removed and BY THE NEXT DAY, I could get pregnant.
Pill means too much remembering, too much timing and lots of side effects. Don't even think about the shot. I don't know about the nuva ring but I doubt it lasts as long as an IUD or is totally unnoticable (I can't feel my IUD at all... and I mean AT ALL...).

I LOVE the Nuva Ring. Yes, you do have to change it every month, but it's not much different than putting in and taking out a tampon. Plus you don't have to worry about a stupid pill, you don't have to worry about the complications with an IUD, in my opinion, it's so far the best birth control they've made, and I've tried it ALL.
But that's just my vote. Every woman is different.

for me personally i couldnt take the pill cuz it messed with me too much. my hormones were off the chart so i stopped taking them and i felt normal again. then i researched all differnt types of bc and found that the nuva ring has the least amount of side effects and not as harsh as all the others. friend used iud and said it made her really b-itchy.

I use to be on the Depo shot. It hurt like hell and I got pregnant on it. Now I'm on Mirena((IUD)) and its wonderful. It only took about 10 mins to put in and had like period cramps for like maybe a min. while it was going in. The second I felt the cramping it was over. But I took some meds before going that are for cramps and after it was in no more trouble with it. Don't have to think about birth control for 5 years. But warning I freaked the day I got the mirena put it. After it was put in wasn't even 30mins I started bleeding heavy. But only lasted for like a week. GOOD Luck.

I have an IUD, called Mirena.
I love it. It's put in and has low risk of any side effects, and is good for 5 years! FIVE years of not worrying to change anything, get another shot (too many friends of mine have gotten preggo off Depo shot) or "did I take my pill this morning?"
It's great and came highly recommended from my doc!

I absolutely love my IUD..... it can for 5 or 11 years. The 5 years iud cotsts about $700.00. But compare that to other methods and it is a great value. You may "spot " for a few weeks, but after that your periods will get shorter and lighter.

IUD is better the hormonal one can stay in for up to 5 years and the non-hormonal one can stay in for up to 10 years... that way you dont forget to change it like the patch or take it like the pill... you dont have to set up monthly appointments like the shot and it is 99.999% reliable.. the pill is only 97.65% and everything else falls behind

the ring you do change it yourself each month. I liked the depo provera shot. 4 times a year, no period.

I like the pill. Seasonale is great for me because you only have your period every 3 months.
