Because I can think for myself, I have a life, I don't need to be brainwashed into believing such laughable, pitiful, ridiculous crap!

honest answer.
i was born/raised a jew and bar mitzvah'd-all of it.
i've always respected/been interested/wanted knowledge of other belief systems and finally called on jesus' name after reading the new testament as i always thought he was the mentor for all human beings even as a "jew"
after reading the new testament and calling on his name, unexplainable good things happened and continue to. then i accepted him as my savior after getting over the whole "he was perfected" thing that was keeping me as a "jew" from seeing him as THE LORD.
long story short---went to bible study and was very humble and just asking questions about things such as the trinity, different levels(that's not the right termination but you know what i mean)of sins and the eucharism. stuff like that.
the entire time, the father/pastor in charge gave me very bad vibes like i wasn't really wanted there. and to put the cherry on top, after the bible study we all were supposed to sign our names/phone no./info on a log. i was speaking with other students as we took turns signing and when it was my turn he put the log away and rebuked me physically by doing that. i never said anything except thank you to him and shook his hand.
this is a huge church and trying to be a good christian in training, i just tried to chock it up to him having a bad day or just a human slip 'cause i don't want to judge him. now my job too, right.?
but after the bad vibes/body language during the session and then the physical rebuke i just had to stay away. he has a huge flock and i'm sure he is a great vehicle that the lord works through all the time but that's why i'm not in church.
i'm not going to go through those feelings when i have a personal relationship with the lord.

I have been going recently, I say Church is a good thing, but the most important is having a connection with God. you don't really need to be in a religion if you have that connection.

Because America is not yet a thoecracy, and therefore I am free not to attend church and believe what I wish as long as it does not harm others.

It's 3:05 in the afternoon my friend.
Church is anywhere two of more believers are together talking about or praising the Lord.
God bless you. Have a great day.

What makes you think I'm NOT?

Oh...and just try to ignore "Leif Erickson" - that boy ain't right in the head. The real Vikings would have thought he was just a pissant.
