If getting the therapy is the most important on your list of criteria, please take into consideration that almost all mattresses compromise comfort for support, or support for comfort. This is due to the fact that the mattress separates the material (steel springs, dense foam) used for support and the material (various foams) used for comfort. The best analogy that I can provide is: take a healthy veggie salad and add fattening dressing. While adding to the taste we compromise the healthier aspect. On the other hand if you sacrifice the dressing you lose taste. The pressure relief (comfort) and spinal alignment (support) is exponentially more effective when it's contained in the same material. (Great tasting dressing that’s has the health characteristic equal to the veggie salad). Tempurpedic (1989) attempts this concept; unfortunately they "miss the boat" since the mattress relies mostly on surface area contact. This is a definite step in the right direction, especially when compared to other conventional mattress technologies, unfortunately there are still drawbacks. Since it reacts to your body temperature (the warmth creates a more pliable and conforming surface) it tends to hold heat. An example, which pan holds heat longer? Aluminum pan compared to an iron pan. Tempurpedic is closer to the iron pan. In addition, it takes time to reshape to your body; some feel this disrupts sleep when changing positions on the mattress.
The best source for therapy usually is developed or invented for the medical community. The product does and has existed for nearly a decade and currently used in hospitals. It is the Intelli-gel sleep system. It has a proven track record and finally for the first time contains uncompromising support at the top of the sleep system. The same material that provides the comfort also provides the support. Unfortunately, I know that this could sound like the rest of the hype out there, but I truly and sincerely believe in the product. Intelli-gel Sleep system by MyComfort, the superior mattress is more than a mattress but a sleep system. I encourage you and anybody else who values sleep to research them. mycomfortmyway.com

I like LATEX MATTRESS:
Latex Mattress Benefits
Latex mattress is the latest sleep system that has gained popularity in Europe. Major manufacturers like Sealy, Serta, Royal Pedic and Simmons have introduced their range of latex mattresses. Latex mattress uses the sap of the rubber tree as its prime ingredient. By using two different methods, we can get Dunlop latex mattress and the Talalay latex mattress. In the Dunlop method, the liquid rubber is whipped; the air is injected in the mixture and then put in a mold. In Talalay method, besides whipping the rubber, it is also cured by core pins and then vacuumed. This results in a very high quality of foam mattress, with a regular cell structure. Both Dunlop as well as Talalay are very comfortable and durable, the latter is costlier.
Latex mattresses are more expensive than the conventional mattresses. Their life is nearly thirty years, which is far higher than the life of the conventional mattress. The companies manufacturing the mattresses offer a warranty of at least twenty years, so you can rest assured that should go wrong, your investment is safe. Latex mattress protects you against microbes and dust mites. The mattress has excellent ventilation system, so if you suffer from asthma, allergies or any type of breathing problems, you will benefit a lot. It is a very convenient mattress, since you do not have to turn over the mattress. To enjoy superior benefits, go for organic latex mattress.
The comfort level provided by the latex mattress is far higher than that provided by the conventional mattress. To get the best quality, choose foam whose density is higher. But at the same time, watch out for your budget because higher density foam is more expensive. The latex foam moulds itself to your body’s shape. This results in the equal distribution of your weight throughout the mattress. This removes the pressure from the areas, which are normally under pressure when you sleep on the normal mattress. This gives you deep and sound sleep. It also eliminates aches and pains. You wake up relaxed and refreshed.
Hence consider your purchase of a latex mattress as an investment towards your good health.

Pure foam (including the memory foams, like tempurpedic) will hold a lot of heat in and don't breathe well unless you have a natural fiber topper, and even then they'll hold a lot of heat.
I bought a used futon frame and mattress recently and thought I would replace the mattress with a newer one. I've grown to think it is the most comfortable bed I've owned. It's a "natural fiber" futon, which means it's a lot of cotton and some other mystery fibers. It breathes incredibly well. It is all very firm, which my body likes. Spring mattresses flex way too much for me, but that's me. Hope that helps you some in your decision.

Hi, We all have memory foam mattresses in out house, even the kids, to keep them out of my bed! My husband had a bad back and this has been great for his back. At 8 months and 9 months pregnant i was sleeping through the night. It really is the best thing! Hope this helps!

In our house everyone has spring mattresses with a memory foam pillow top. This means it has about 6 inches of memory foam on top of the traditional spring mattress. They feel awesome! But kind of expensive.
