If you have had frequent separations it becomes progressively more difficult to keep trust intact in a relationship. In my own personal experience I find that when people are separated they act as a single person would .So in answer to your question its quite possible that may be the case but one can't be totally certain without first hand knowledge. I will say those that cheat are often the first to accuse the other of it to draw attention from their own actions. But as I said this isn't a blanket answer for all but my perception according to my own experiences . If he has been first in accusations such as you cheating on him , I would be certain enough to call a halt to the relationship really.

If he's been cheating, he will be doing some of these things.
- "Working" late
- "Spending more time with the guys"
- Possibly accusing YOU of cheating with HIM (guilt)
- Going away for the weekend
- Suddenly doing things he doesn't normally do
- Checking the ID of texts and not answering some
- Going into a seperate room to answer phone calls
- Hiding or "losing" his phone bills

U can always tell by his reactions towards u and the little things he do. Now, if ya'll was seperated he's not considered cheating. But, watch him b/c the little things is what matters the most.

if you suspect he is cheating, he probably is. there is alot you haven't revealed. are you married or living together? if you are then does he come home on time? does he go where he says he is going? the best way to catch a cheater is to check his cell phone records, and emails. bank receipts will show you alot too! is he buying gifts or flowers on his credit cards? any unexplained purchases? you can't always tell by the smell of his hair or clothes, because sometimes they will shower before they come home. does he try to leave the house by making up stories, such as going to the store? does he try to leave the house by not inviting you? all of these are signs he probably is cheating!!!

Ask him? Can't you tell when he is not telling the truth?
Here is a tip ... Sit down next to him and "out of the blue" ask him (in a quiet voice) if he has cheated (do not sound like you are trying to start a fight).
Look him right in the eyes (sit really close to him!!)
After he answers squint your eyes (like you are trying to keep sand out of them) and stare him down!!!!
If he starts squirming and swallows hard then he is not telling the truth! If he raises his voice to you then he is probably not telling the truth.
If he repeats No, No, I have never cheated on you (in a soft voice) then he is probably telling the truth.
If you suspect he is cheating then he is probably cheating.

When my boyfriend has cheated i usually catch him in lies. If he leaves ask him where he went and what he did. Just say so what did you do today then ask who was there. Later ask him something again related to where he said he was. So what did so and so have to say. Just keep asking eventually they forget what they told you before and you'll soon figure out that everything he is telling you is a bunch of lies

if you have to ask this question you already no the answer. that saying love hurts is so true. i new for year i was being cheated on and i just kept making excuses fourteen year later after ditching that person i have just started to get on with my life. even though i am married have kids and a good job. when you ask that question you know you are madly in love "good luck"

There is only 3 ways caught in the act, admission, or if the other person he was cheating with becomes pregnant anything else is speculation.

it depends on how good of a liar or even actor he is
if he's good at lying or acting (or especially both)
then you wont be able to tell
but if not
just ask alot of questions and make sure some of the questions contridict other questions or answers
eventually if he is lyin he'll start trippin over his words and stutterin maybe sweat a little or even get defensive
