It is taboo because of our Puritanistic roots... and i wouldn't say better for either party it should feel good for both parties involved as you have enough foreplay (both parties need to be in the mood) enough lubrication (if its dry its not going to fly..) and you need to make sure the muscle of the anus id relaxed a properly stretched cause you wouldn't run a marathon with out stretching would you? same principal
