A Salisbury steak is a large ground beef patty mixed with egg, bread crumbs, onions, seasoning, etc., and friend, broiled or baked... in other words, it's a hamburger that is usually served as an "open sandwich" and made so they can charge you more!

I don't know the dictionary definition, but when I think of salisbury steak, I think of ground steak drenched in brown gravy, mushrooms & onions - and goes great with mashed potatoes.

salisbury steak, is considered what the call garbage steeak, left over, products from, real steaks, dumped in gravy mix, and pre pxckageed or just plain, junke left over from, steaks that dident sell its ground up, and soakedd in gravy mixes like beef gravy etc!1

Yea, it's ground steak with gravy. Sometimes comes with mushrooms and onions. Often found in small quantities in cheap frozen dinners. Yummy, and much easier to chew than regular steak. :)
