Pierce the potato several times with a fork

Place in a microwave-safe bowl and put into the microwave

Micro cook for 6-8 minutes. If you have a newer one there should be a button designated to cook potatoes.

After your potato has cooked, using your fork, pierce the potato again to check it's doneness. If the fork goes into the potato fairly easily, your potato is done.

Slice open and top with cheese, sour cream, and butter.

First, wash the potato and rub it with vegetable oil. You will want to cut a slit in the top of the potato and then wrap it in aluminum foil. Bake it at 350-375 degrees for about 1 hour and a half. Add your favorite toppings and wah lah ! Talk about good!

Just give it a good scrub and stab it with a fork a few times to let the steam escape, otherwise by the time you finish cleaning the microwave, the potato will be cold. Try 7-10 minutes depending on the size. I like to finish mine off in a hot oven for 10 minutes to get the skin good and crispy. Enjoy! Sue xx

Preheat you oven to 450 degrees. Scrub the potatoes good and then rub them with a little olive oil and then sprinkle with salt, kosher if you have it. Place the potatoes directly on the middle oven rack and bake for about an hour, or when you can easily squeeze the potato (using oven mitts of course). The potato will be light and fluffy inside, but the outside skin will be nice and crispy! YUM!

I bake a Russet potato with a huge nail shoved end to end sticking out at both ends. Nail transmits heat to the center and cuts baking time, saving energy. Don't microwave, it ruins the potato and the nail will cause radiation to leak

wash it, stab it a couple times to let steam escape & put it in the oven 350 for an hour. if you want crispy skin, don't wrap it in foil & bake it an xtra 1/2 hr. you can speed the bake time by microwaving it for a couple minutes first then put it in the oven for 1/2 hour or so. or just microwave it for whatever time is recommended for your microwave

Use a white baking potato. Wash it and rub it generously in Olive oil. Put a liberal coating of Kosher salt all around the potato.Bake it (uncovered - NO foil wrap) at 350 deg for about one hour. The skin will be crunchy and savory, while the inside will be soft and fluffy. Cut in two length-wise and add butter or sour cream - and enjoy.

If you are cooking several potatoes at once, be sure to spread them out on a pan, so they have plenty of breathing room.

First you skin the potato with a knife. You want to slice away the skin of the potato untill you see the white part. Then you Boil water in a pot and put the potato in the hot water until it gets soft. That is when it is ready. You can put your fork through the potato in the pot untill you get put your fork through it without effort if you are not sure it is ready.

if your using a microwave you need to poke holesin your potatoe with a fork, if you don't the potatoe will explode. 5 to 10 minutes should work depending on how big the potatoe is.
