Yes,saw one last year,but not since,though last years successful glow-worm hunters frequently reported seeing them close to water, especially along canal paths and river banks. Other hot spots include; gardens, disused railway embankments (don't go near any active railway lines), meadows, churchyards, woodlands (especially rides and woodland edges) and roadside verges. They are more common in the South,than the North.

Yes, when I lived in Somerset we saw some when walking down a lane one night. Also about 20 years ago.

Yes I saw some on a farm in England, just outside of Guildford in Surrey.

I saw one about 5 years ago in Burton Bradstock in Dorset. I think they are about you just have to be wondering about at night errrrrrrrrrm

we saw some last summer on canford heath in Dorset, while looking for nightjars. They are also to be found in the new forest.
