I'm a student and started a part time job a month ago (I do cleaning and waitressing at a hotel every morning). I used to go to the gym about 5 times a week but since I've started work I find I have absolutely no energy to work out any more; by the time I've finished work I'm shattered and just can't drag myself to the gym. I went last week only to find after 3mins on the exercise bike I just couldn't continue...
I just don't know what to do, I used to be so fit and I'm really worried about losing cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone and strength.
Please, any ideas and help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Cleaning and waitressing seem like already a good amount of excercise. If your out of energy by the end of the day there is really nothing you can do. You don't want to push yourself too hard.

When I was in college, I worked three jobs at once; legal secretary, waitress and cleaned homes. I still had time/energy to work out, and did so about 5 times per week (wish I had the energy I had back then!). If being tired is a little out of character for you, perhaps you should get a physical, including blood tests, to see if you are low in iron, etc. My guess is that since you are so busy you may not be eating as well as you could and getting enough sleep. Check in with your doc...

I agree with everyone else that you are doing a hell of alot so dont feel too bad about it, but know how you feel about not doing anything to keep on top of your fitness.

Try Yoga, it doesnt do much for your cardiovascular but is great for muscle tone and strength, plus its really chilled out so it doesnt require a massive amount of energy and you feel so blissed out and stress free afterwards. Even if you just do 15 mins a day you will see a huge improvement. It also raises your energy levels!

I've said for years the catering industry is underpaid and overworked, you have just proved that. Hotel work is hard as staffing numbers are kept to a minimum. You are in two different departments - twice the pressure. Most managers and key staff in this industry tend to nap on an afternoon, so hopefully you can take a leaf out of their book. Keep at it the rewards can be good.

Maybe just do weights at gym to keep the muscle tone. It sounds like you are doing enough cardio during work. I find just having a break when i get home for 30 mins helps replenish my energy levels so i can train. I also get very tired, like totally shattered, maybe its our bodies telling us to take it easy for a while.

You should try to work out before you go to work. Working out, while making you tired, will also help to boost your energy. Maybe then you'll feel better after work. Of course, the first week or so you'll be sore since you haven't been to the gym in awhile, but stick with it.

You get what you pay for. trend tires are certainly one of poorest high quality tires funds can by using. do no longer waste you cash. i'm no longer shocked you're having separation themes. in case you pick a sturdy high quality budget priced tire look at producers alongside with regularly used, Kumho, Hankook or Yokohama, in case you could no longer cope with to pay for a top rate variety tire like Michelin or Bridgestone.

lower your standards for now. Just work out 2 times per week. First thing in the morning. Do your reading/homework while on the stationary bike, make some calls while on the tread mill (moslty listen), and just try to multitask.

Well your work seems pretty tough, and it seems like it's a good enough workout in itself... If you need more energy have you tried changing your diet to eat a lot of high energy foods?

As I said, your work seems enough to tire anyone out, but if it's unusual and you're worried, you could go to a doctor. It could be anaemia or something...
