I have had many many dogs, some just take longer then others. Crate your puppy. It might seem cruel, trust me, its not. Whenever you are gone away from home, crate her. Make sure she has food/water. Her crate will become her "den". Dogs are tidius, they wont soil in thier den, though there might be a few accidents. It will also be her safe zone. At night crate her as well, that way there are no little unpleasanties in the morning! Set up specific times to take her outside to go. Use the same words when telling her to go. Carry her out at first( if you can) untill she will get the hang of going to the door herself. Early mornings say 1 am, then like 3am, then like 6am and so on if you have the time. Be patient though this technique shouldn't take long month a the most, some dogs are intelligent but just dont connect the dots early enough. If you work durning the day still crate her. As soon as you get home, out she goes outside. Keep a steady schedule and she should get the hang of the idea. Then you can progress to letting her remain outside of the crate durning the day and gradually well into the night. Hope this was of some help to you.

Other things to do/use
Puppy pads- didnt really work for me
newspaper- woked but some breeds are disastorous and just tear the paper up.
No matter what, do not smear the poo/pee in her nose! Don't punish your puppy for something she dosn't know yet. Many pet owners do so and I hate it! Good luck!

You can also use a doggy litter box.....though i like the crate plan better.

You need to associate its bad behavior with something bad. Many people rub the dogs nose in their urine. Others yell and say "bad dog". It you let your dog get away with it and don't discipline, it will continue peeing/pooping in the house.
