Truth be told. You know there is something wrong if you prefer a holiday to real life. I lived on lanzarote for a long time and trust me more problems than solutions.
You need to have a good look at yourself and your life and realise that in your life even if there are things that you lack that you wish you had you have the potential. If you want adventure you have the potential to seek it out. No one and nothing controls you and your life other than you. I had a lot of delusions for a long time that my life was bad and it was out of my control but its not.
I hope you find your strength. At the end of the day you are the person that you stand up and decide to be. The past doesn't matter neither does what will actually happen. Just be strong for yourself.
Have a good time. Do what you want tonight. Invite a friend round. Go have a take away with your mum if you're close to her. Do something for you.

Yes, I often feel like that too!
I think it is a common phenomena - you are not alone.
It is because it is an anti-climax and it is a form of depression.
You need to treat yourself the way you would if you were still on holiday - have some wine or a cocktail and something nice to eat. Pamper yourself a bit if you can.
Plan something nice for tomorrow, that will make you feel good.
let me know if it works - because am off tomorrow to Turkey, then I will be back in just a week's time, and be in the same situation as you.
Hope that helps and feel free to contact me, although I wont be able to get back to you until I get back the following Monday!:>)

It's the feeling of having to go back to normality - I.E: Bills to pay, shopping to do, cleaning.. etc. Everyone will feel like this when they get back from holiday.
Just have a nice bath, a glass of wine - and watch some tv. Maybe look through your pictures from your holiday - and set aside some time to maybe e-mail your new friends.
Good luck. x

You're feeling sad because you had such fun and had no worries, you didn't have to go to work and spent all day just relaxing and having fun, now life has gone back to normal and you miss all the fun you had.
Life is what you make it so try to enjoy yourself it isn't that bad

You have to remeber that those times and feelings aren't over, you will have them again next holiday. In doing the everyday responsibilities of life, make your next holiday or time off your reward for doing the daily grind of life.
