You should get him checked out by the vet, although dogs mark their territory, as far as I'm aware it is very rare for an animal to urinate where they sleep.

If he is only four and a half months old, I would assume that he is still very new there (unless he was born at your house), is he settling in ok? Are you having to leave him for long periods of time because of work? One of my cats gets very upset when I'm out all day and on occaision has demonstrated this by defecating in my bathroom (luckily it's in a place easy to clean1).
Is your dog under any stress that you know of. Sometimes animals can find being around lots of people, especially children stressful, especially when they're young.
It could also be just that he is still a puppy and he just had an accident.
If he is otherwise house trained, remember to continue to reinforce good behavior ( doing it in the appropriate place) with praise and healthy treats, but try not to give him any attention if he does it in the house. Please remember there is no point in shouting at your dog unless you catch him in the act, as although they're bright, dogs do not have the brain power to think back and wonder what they did wrong hours ago, you will only upset and confuse him.
One final tip, try putting his bed somewhere that is close enough to where you spend most of your time in the house, so that he can take comfort in knowing you are there, but make it far enough away that he can still have peace and quiet if he needs it.
Hope that helps, good luck!

Pugs are notorious for not housetraining easily. You will need to be extremely consistent with him. He'll need frequent trips outside, always to the same spot. Once he does his business give him alot of praise. Never leave him unattended indoors. Consistency is the key. Do you have a crate for him? If so, put him into it...it should not be too large for him..he only needs enough room to get comfortable and sleep. Good Luck!

Your dog is still very young and accidents will happen. If it occurs again and again - then maybe worry but dogs will make the odd mistake - remember you coming out of nappies???? - he is still a baby! Pups will have odd accident in bed but yes you are correct - dogs do not like to soil their beds. Monitor progress but expect odd accident for first year.

Very unusual. Only thing I can think of is you didin't walk him enough and he just had to go. Is he in a cage with the bed or free to roam? If free, and this keeps up, call a vet. He may have an infection.

If he is already house trained, he could have an urinary tract infection. A good way to find out is have a urine sample checked by your vet - just catch it in a clean container & take it in for them to test it.

If that turns out fine, he may not be able to hold it all night yet. You may need to get up & let him out once for a few more months still.

Has your dog been house trained? Most of the time that's the problem. If he hasn't ask you vet to see where you can go to with your dog to train him.

sounds like he might be nervous, very young puppies sometimes do that but at 4 or 5 months it has to be something else, phone your vet and ask the question at leas they will put your mind at ease

They dont usually. It maybe be sick if it is the first time its happened. Or it just may not be pooty trained well. Try walking it more often.
