I have been friends with this girl for about 2 years now. We arent close friends though. I have liked her ever since i met her, and I would like to date her now. I am pretty sure we both like each other enough to pursue a relationship. My only concern is that I do not want to mess it up and ruin the slight friendship we had.

a friendship wont be ruined by you telling her you have feelings for her. The reasons friendships end after confessions like that are when guys are only interested in a girl if he can get her. Just tell you how you feel, and don't make an awkard/drunken move. Also let her know you value her friendship and don't want it to end if she isn't intersted in you they way you are her. If you think she likes you back, try and tell her in a sweet or interesting way, after all this could be the story of how you two started. But remember to do something that would leave her flattered if it doesn't work out not uncomfortable.

Would you rather have her as a friend for the rest of your life and wonder "did she like me? would she have said yes if i asked her out?" Its up to you, my friend. I find that usually asking her out for drinks and then getting a little loose will help too. I mean if I like someone and then I get a little tipsy, I'm going to let that person know how I feel either physically or vocally.

Well maybe you should come up with a list of pros and cons...and go from that.. or maybe you could tell her what you feel and of she returns the feelings the two of you could talk about it and see what would be best for the both of you in the long run

If you don't take a chance or two, you won't get far. Take the risk and ask her out. Otherwise, you might lose something you'll want for a long time.

Just ask her out. THEN you'll know if she's interested. Besides, you said you're not close friends, so what does it matter if she's not interested? You're not proposing to her!

why don't you go ahead and ask her?Who knows maybe she'll feel the same way, if you are really close friends.
