atheists do NOT believe they are God/god. They believe, think that God/god doesn't exist. That nature just takes it's course. They might have heard about God and the bible and stuff but haven't "seen" any existence of it.

How can someone THINK that they don't BELIEVE in God/god?You either think or you don't. and you either believe or you don't. Thinking and believing are two different things. And- if someone, an atheist according to you, thinks he is god then he isn't an atheist. He believes in himself. And how can a god only SOMETIMES believe in himself? If I was god I would believe in my own existence 24/7.

Reread your wording before you submit a question.

Atheists do not have one specified belief structure, so it is impossible for me to answer that question for anyone besides myself. Personally, I do not ever entertain the notion that I am god, since I do not believe that a god exists. However, like all people, there are times that I do not believe in myself - it is only human.

Atheists don't just think they don't believe in god they are sure there is no god. Therefore they cannot believe that they are god.

I do not believe in god. So it would be hard for me to believe I am god.

If I don't believe in god, it would be contrary to reason to believe myself to be god. It is not likely that one would believe one is something that one does not believe exists.

I don't ever think I'm God(Yahweh), Brahma, Zeus, Tien Ti, Allah, Amon-Ra, Marduk, Odin or any other imaginary deity. Why would I? I don't believe nonsense. I know facts.

Here we go again......................

Where did you find that atheists sometimes think that they are god?

It's so simple - atheists don't believe in a god(s) - period.

I don't find this so hard to understand!
