I've never lived anywhere near a coast. Just recently moved to the coast of Georgia and hit the beach, jumped in the salty water, jumped out and WOW, my loose curls looked great!! Any ideas on how I can get this result without having to drag myself down to the beach everyday? Thanks!

Yes! The best product you can use it Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. It comes in a little bottle to give you that "day at the beach" look. The only thing is that it's kind of costly. You can get it at Carlton Hair Internation and various other professional salons. You can also ask them how to use it!

The curls are probably from the way the waves tossed your hair around in the water, or from the how the salt reacted with your hair. Try taking a bath and tossing your hair around a little under the water, or make a salt- water solution and use that to wash your hair.

OK. First get a spray bottle and fill it with one cup of water. Then put in 1 tablespoon of salt. mix up the mixture and spray it onto your hair and walla! The perfect beach waves. Hope I helped!

I would suggest to put half a solution of water and half a solution of salt in a spray-bottle, and mix the two together. Then spray it on your hair so your hair is damp, and then let it air-dry. It'll get you that beachy, texturized look that you're trying for.

Um yah. just take a huge bottle and bring it to the beach when you can. Fill it with the water and bring it home and then you can stand in the middle of your yard and dump it on your head. Simple.

Surely the chlorine in most swimming baths will give the same result?

I guess you could always wash your hair in water with added salt!

well, you can buy beach sand, and can probably do it on-line.
Get a big spray bottle, and fill it about 1/4 way with the sand.
Add water and shake it.
let the sand settle again, then spray your hair.
VOILA!
