Absolutely. I tip the cocktail waitress a buck a drink, and I tip the dealer at least 5 per 20 minute shift. If the dealer works to help make the game more interesting for me (jokes, stories, etc.), I'll tip more.
Even if you are losing at a table, you must tip. Think of it this way: if you get great service at a restaurant and the food is terrible, what would you do? Are you going to blame the server because the chef is bad, and stiff him/her? Of course not. By the same token, if the cards/dice are going bad, it's not the servers fault... and they deserve a tip for their service.
Best of luck!
Robert
My advice: Gamble online and avoid the issue. Here is a link to casinos that offer a free, no-deposit bonus:

Yes. Absolutly. It try to tip everytime (even when I loose). The dealers and Drink girls/guys are two different things.
If you don't tip a dealer, your just cheap but if you don't tip a drink girl, your a real ********. They go through hell to get your drink to you. And the drink is likely free, so don't be cheap. ($1-$2)
For dealers, regardless of many dealers/tables I go through (unless I'm winning) I will usually only tip once, and try to make it $5.

This guy went out on his own to casinos all over the world. He has all the rules and strategies you could want, and even has a page on casino eddicit. This is where I got my info before I went to the casino for the first time.

When the cocktail waitress brings you a free drink you should tip $1-$2. When you win a big pot at poker you should tip whatever the small blind is. When you win on a table game you should tip when you leave the table if you won, or alternatively you can usually place a small bet for the dealer on occasion.
To answer your question, I have done all of the above.

I live and Deal poker in Las Vegas. I basically live on my tips because we are not paid very much in base salary so we live on tips. When you play cash games and it is a small pot i usually get 1 dollar but when the pot gets big i usually get 2 bucks for a limit game and a lot more for no-limit cash games depending on the player and the size of the pot, and then some players don't tip at all. For blackjack dealers, waiters, bellmen, valets, live on tip money. So if you are doing good playing blackjack you may put a bet out for the dealer or if you get good service from the bellmen or front desk then a tip is in order. I tip all the time myself because i live on my tips.

My wife won a $500 poker tournament ($500 PER PERSON, not the entire thing!) and picked up $34,000. She tipped 5%, which was a lot of money, but we felt it was fate smiling on us.
I used some of the $ to set up the Church of Texas Holdem. You can read about the experience and see videos of her at the final table here:

I think you should not be TOO generous, but don't forget to tip a little something each time. These guys don't get much salary.

Yes, I do. I just feel bad if I don't. That is why I gamble online... no guilt about tipping whatsoever since there is no dealer!
