This is nickel allergy.
Nickel Allergy
Most of the metals that we touch in daily life may contain nickel. Nickel causes an allergy called allergic contact dermatitis. The allergy shows as rash with redness, itching, cracks in skin and blisters that may ooze. Objects such as zipper chains, watch straps, most of the jewelry, utensils, pens, metal knobs, etc. may all contain nickel. Lets know how to protect if you have nickel allergy.
As happens with allergic reactions, the more you are in contact with an allergic material, the chances of getting allergy increases. You may have been wearing a jewelry for years without any allergy. One fine day, you will find that your favorite piece of jewelry has caused allergic reaction in your skin.
If you have allergy to nickel,
* Avoid handling metal.
* Chose your jewelry carefully. Ensure that it contains no nickel.
* Handle metal with dry hands.
* If your ring is causing allergy, use moisturizing cream below it to reduce the metal contact.
* Whenever you can, avoid wearing jewelry that is suspect.

has she been to a dermatologist? Sounds like Indian fire. A simple steroid cream can be applied and it will go away. Usually a form of Staph infection which is why it itches. Could be the soap she is using for laundry. It is also not uncommon for someone to have an allergic reaction to laundry soap. It could be caused by a number of things but if she hasn't gone to the doctor then there is not way to assure the exact cause. Hope she gets it figured out and fixed. Good Luck.

Alot of costume jewelery has nickle in it. Alot of people are allergic to nickle. The rash when she lays on her side could be a heat rash, try cooler pj's and less blankets. Of course, if it gets to bad, she should see a dermatologist. Hope this helps...

She's got allergies.
As for the jewelry, I gave my ex-gf a gold chain and pendant once. In haggling for a good price, I had them polish it three times - to buff out a scratch, and clean it three times - and like romantic magic, it's the only thing that never gave her a rash.

what is the bracelet or chain made of? most individuals develop allergy to white metal or nickel which is commonly used in imitation jewelery. the time gap between using the object and developing allergy is variable. the only way out is to avoid these objects forever.

She may be allergic to cheap metals. My wife is the same way and can only wear 14K+ gold or sterling silver.
