" I am tired", she tells the guy. What went wrong? She had shown previous interest and now she is rejecting the first invitation to go out. Is this an excuse or a reason? For us, if we men really, really like a girl we don't care if we are tired...we go for it! Why women act like this?

That is a cop out. If she is really tired she would explain why and ask if you want to go out later. She is probably trying to play hard to get. If you want to deal with that, go for it, but I would not contact her again.

OK the first time its said you have to let it slide as the truth could be a number of reasons i.e. we are not sure about you, we are in fact tired, we have not shaved our legs, on a period, having a bad hair day, nothing wear....etc If she rejects you a second time with a line like 'I am washing my hair' or 'I am tired' then it probably is a rejection but don't give up on the first try because us women are mysterious creatures and there could be 1000 reasons why we cant come out that night.
Good luck

Be a gentleman! Even if I adored someone I would turn them down if they call me up last minute after a hard day of work to go out. We women do have other things going on in our lives besides trolling for husbands. Ask her out in advance, that way she doesn't have to feel like pig slop thrown together at the last minute and you don't have to accept a lame excuse like "Next Friday? Oh, I think I will be too tired to go out then too."

If this happened to me I'd accept this to mean, "So sorry, but I'm just not interested in you."

I think this girl is trying to use a soft approach to blowing a guy off.

Let her make the next move. Next time you see her is she going to ask for a rain check on the last invite? If so, then maybe she really was tired.. if there is no reschedule then forget her.

No, it's a better excuse if you said that you had something else to do.

"Feeling tired" is too obvious of a rejection.

Either you hide the real reason very well or you don't hide it at all.

She is trying to spare hurting your feelings without telling you she's not interested. If she was really tired and interested she would offer you a reincheck for another date. If she didn't. Theyou need to move on because she's not interested. Best of Luck.

It could be her period. Some girls get very bloated, in a lot of pain, and generally feel very crappy. Certainly not a great time to go on a first date with somebody you really like.

And yet, not knowing you very well, she would not want to just say "I have my period and I'm a total mess."

I'd say, see how she acts next time you happen to see her.... after a few days go by to give her a chance to get through what ever it is... and then try once more.

although it's not a definite sign of not being interested, it's definitely not a good sign. I mean, most likely she has lost interest, but even if she hasn't, it shows that she is flaky and probably not an ideal person to date. unless she apologizes and seems to genuinely feel bad because she just really is "so tired", I would move on and look somewhere else...

Being tired is a legitimate excuse. If we go out for the first time, we want to be our usual energetic and happy selves. If we're tired we tend to be irritable and moody. Don't give up on her yet.

Especially when a relationship is new we are never too tired to see you. That was a nice excuse to not go out with you.
