As Buddha says: Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

it is impossible to be and athiest, because everyone believes in something thats the way were made, The amazing thing about the one true God the creature of heavan and earth is he gives you to tchoice to pick who you want to worship he gives the choice to beleive in what you want, but when you choose that you choose your fait for the rest of eternity if you choose not to believe in Christ then you will be punished you will be sent to hell, everyone says if he is such a loving God then why does he send people to hell, My God is a just God. All you have to do to get into heavan is accept him into your heart. Your family is right they cant save you, you have to make the choice personally. We are spiritual beings having a temperary human excperience. The devil can tempt you so easily but you have to be strong for a very short point in eternity. The rewards in Heavan Gos promises are so amazing and what you have to do may be tough but so worth it!

The existence of God cannot be proven in a laboratory or through the complicated mechanisms of logic. Neither can love, nor beauty, nor happiness, but that does not mean they are not real. In the same way, just because you cannot "prove" that God exists as you can prove a chemical formula, it does not mean that He is not real. It only means you are using the wrong tools. Science alone cannot explain where we came from or why we are here. Science itself points to an all-wise and all-powerful Creator. As the Bible says, 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands' (Psalm 19:1)."
I invite you to look beyond the physical world to the greatest evidence of all—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says we can know God is real, because He came into this world in the Person of Jesus Christ. If you want to know what God is like, look at Christ, who is "the image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15). We urge you not to let pride or anything else get in the way of discovering the new life He alone can give. When we open our lives to Jesus Christ, we are admitting that we do not have all the answers and cannot save ourselves. The Bible says, "The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Corinthians 1:25).

The Bible also says, "You can never please God without faith ... Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God" (Hebrews 11:6, TLB). You best demonstrate your faith in a bank by putting your money in it. You best show your faith in a doctor by trusting him in times of illness. You best prove your faith in a boat by getting aboard. You demonstrate faith in Christ by trusting Him with your life and by receiving Him unconditionally as your Savior.

No, of course it's not necessary to believe in god. It's difficult to live in without belief in the United States, as our culture here sees atheism as a terrible thing, but "to thine own self be true". It'd be worse to live a lie just to fit in to society. If you don't believe, don't pretend that you do.

I do recommend that you do what you can to act respectfully towards those who do believe, though. They're simply wrong: they're not "mentally ill" or "brainwashed" or anything like that. It doesn't do anyone any good for atheists to throw around terms like that. As you can surely see right now, it is very difficult to get away from the cultural assumptions about the existence of god, and there is nothing particularly wrong with those who do not, who simply accept what they've been taught.

No.

But do believe there is an explanation to mysteries of life, such as why humanity exists, or what will there be after death, or what we were before we were born, or else your mental health will be in danger... even if it is just biologist: humanity exists because monkeys evoluted and we are here to go on evoluting, we were nothing before our birth (or were we? Choose), and there will be nothing else after death (or is there something?)

That is the best I can say. My personal beliefs are not those, however.

Hey,

I don't think you need to believe in God, if that is how you feel. Maybe you need to educate yourself more on the religion or maybe you have had been given enough information to decide this now.
I believe in a God but I don't follow a religion, I have made a different god in my head.
There is nothing wrong with not believing in god (in my opinion). Don't feel forced into anything.

Then you are like millions of people around the world. You don't have to believe in any God if you don't want to. As long as you live your life in a way that is morally and socially acceptable and treat all forms of life as you would like to be treated then I think that you will find an inner peace way beyond anything any God can offer.

Certainly not. Do as your brains tell you. And you might want to read this book: "Why Darwin Matters". The more you think about all of this the least you'll find a need for a religion. You'll just be a good - and free - person. That is what matters.

no, you don't need to, He gave you free will. However, it would be a wise thing to do, since life with God is far better than life without God. Knowing that we have a God who watches over us and cares for us makes life easier, especially when harsh times come. Why don't you give Him a chance? Ask Him to = somehow = increase your faith and your knowledge on Him.
Blessed you!

You dont need answers from us....you need to search yourself and discover the reasons(s) you feel the way you do and then make a decision for yourself....talk to the heads of churches in your area, school councilors, your parents...anyone within your community who knows you personally. Maybe you questioning your beliefs is a sign that you are lacking something spiritual in your life??

And dont listen to the spewage you will probably get with this question on here about how if you dont believe you are going to go to hell and all that crap....its just people who feel its neccesary to force their own religion on other people...
