No, eating only one type of food is never a good idea.

No. Your protein and fat intake will be virtually nil. The best way to lose weight is to figure out how many calories it will take you each day to maintain your weight. There are plenty of on-line calculators that will help you estimate what you need. After a couple of weeks you should be able to figure it out based on the number the estimate gives you and trial and error.

To lose weight, eat 500 calories fewer than your maintenance. Also, eating good foods helps. Whole wheat bread, lean meats, plenty of veggies, etc.

It is a sure fire way to get unhealthy, first of all you have no protein in that mixture. These "fad" diets are stupid and only lead to the yo-yo effect i.e. lose some - gain more. The only sensible way to control your weight is to maintain a healthy balance in your diet but reduce the quantities so that your total calorie intake is below the amount of calories you burn per day. If you are eating the proper mix of foods vitamin and mineral supplements are just a waste of money.

No. You can't get all the nutrition you need with one food product. What's going to happen is after you lose the weight and start to eat normal food again you will find you missed it so much that you will probably have a tendency to over-eat and gain more weight then you have lost.
Fad diets are dangerous....the best way to lose weight is count calories and get exercise. If you're a female, 1,200 - 1,500 calories a day is healthy as long as you get them from a variety of food sources.

I really don't know that eating only oatmeal will help you loose weight because oatmeal is pretty heavy. I would try just the water and vitamins.

i don't think so...oatmeal is too high carb.

what's your blood type? I found a book called Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type where the doctor found that certain foods have differing results on different people and it was based on blood type.

If you're blood type O you should be low carb (like me) so the oatmeal thing would backfire.

Two answers. NO and HELL NO.
You should lose weight by eating what you normally eat to be healthy (protein, grains, vegetables and fruits) in smaller portions and increase your calorie expenditure either by exercising or doing something you like such as dancing.

Well, you have to eat, if this is all your eating then no. I'd suggest visits to the gym and maybe a diet like something you'd see advertised on tv. If your tight on a budget, get rid of all sweets and go on long walks.
