It depends on how you are going to get out of New York and also how familiar you are with other roads.
A couple basic ways would be:
GW Bridge - take Route 80 West to Garden State Parkway South to Exit #38.
Lincoln Tunnel - take Route 3 West to NJ Turnpike to Garden State Parkway South to exit #38.
Holland Tunnel - follow signs for 280 or NJ Turnpike. Get onto Turnpike, then take Parkway South to exit #38.
*I recommend take the Turnpike to the Parkway as I find it moves better. But if simplicity is more important 80 and 3 both can take you directly to the Parkway and you will run the Parkway the majority of the way.
