You were ripped off. "Stuff" (what dumplingmuffin said) is removed during the operation. It's not like they just get their tubes tied!!! Definitely can't get pregnent if the necessary equipment is missing!!!

Your vet did not remove everything in a total hysderectomy. You may want to see the paperwork that came back when the surgery was completed. What surgery did they actually perform because there are several ways to "fix" a cat and the simplest way isn't always the most efficient (as it appears in your case). Definitely take your cat to a second vet with the paperwork from the surgery - they can explain what happened and how to remedy the situation.

The point of fixing a cat is so it can't get pregnant. Important kitten-making materials are removed.

I am a vet tech, and no, your cat cannot get pregnant if she's had an "OHE" (hysterectomy). Check the treatment log your vet has and see what kind of spay he performed.

I'VE HEARD OF CATS GETTING PREGNANT AFTER THEY'RE SPAYED, HONESTLY! My dad was at work at Panera and this woman told him her cat was spayed. It was old and dying, and after it died, she found a tiny kitten in her house. She nursed it until it got older, and she kept it. It was like a good-bye present from her old cat. It can be ripped off, I guess.

I am volunteer for CPL..& i never come across a cat which has been spade or fixed, that has become pregnant after. If you find your cat has a fat stomach, maybe they need worming.
Hope this helps.
