I went to sports bar lastnight to watch UFC 62. Afterwards I felt like I had just watched a more boring version of Liddell / Sobral and Griffin / Bonnar's first fights.

Now they're going to be showing Hughes / Penn and probably Liddell / Ortiz.

...is anybody else tired of this ?

Yes, but this is because of the lack of depth in the UFC roster. Who else will draw ratings beside Liddell and Tito in the Light Heavyweight division. When they fight some of the lesser fighters like Vernon White and Jeremy Horn(I don't care how many fights he has), this leads to crap fights. They really tried to inject some fresh air with the Liddell Vs. Silva match, but it will probably fall through, which leaves only Tito as a respectable contender. Arlovski and Sylvia are the only decent HW's along with MAYBE Monson. Hughes Vs. GSP would have been a great fight worthy of the hype, but he got hurt. Which leaves us with a fat, shell of his former self Penn. Griffin Vs. Bonnar was inevitable, but no way could it have been as good as the first fight. That's why the Pride fighters coming over would have been so great. It would have opened the eyes of UFC-only fans to the better fighters of Pride FC. And would have given so many possible combinations. Silva Vs. Ortiz rematch. Dan Henderson Vs. Rich Franklin. Also, Dana White knows what the big matches are, and would rather rehash a tired "rivalry" like Ortiz Vs. Shamrock rather than trying something new. I'd love to eventually see Diego Sanchez Vs. Hughes. But we may have to wait on the new crop of fighters to gain credibility for a title shot.

A lot of the better people that used to fight in the UFC are gone now. So, what's left? The guys in TUF? I'd rather see a rematches of good fights than some young thing that had 15 minutes of fame and thinks he's ready going up against a great veteran. The UFC would have their first serious injury and the fight wouldn't be as good. I would like to see some more Pride versus UFC matches. Who knows maybe the UFC will ask Rampage to come over from Pride for a fight against Liddell... oh wait, that'd be a rematch too.

I would like to see more grand prix and open weight tournaments like they have in Pride. It would also be sweet to have a Pride v. UFC tournament and take the top two fighters from each weight class. Some of the rematches are fun, if the previous fights were close. But do we really need to see Tito and Shamrock fight again? I'd rather see Tito fight Griffen again. Maybe once Pride makes the moves in the US, the leagues and featured fighters will become more integrated.

well Ortiz and Ken is stupid but other then that i like the rematches. id rather see a rematch of two highly ranked fighters then see one fighter fight some well under him. there just isn't enough "main event " fighters in the ufc to have alot of good fights that aren't rematches. and I'm excited about the Liddell and Ortiz fight i hope it happens. id love to see Ortiz win.

It all depends on who's in the rematch and if it's either for a title or the winner getting a title shot.

no way. its awesome!

the iceman rules and will whoop on tito again if the chance ever comes.

i think it was awesome that they did another griffin/bonnar fight. i've been waiting forever for that one.

i do think that shamrock needs to get over himself though, and realize he's not gonna beat tito!

tito and iceman are awesome! except if they fight again, chuck is gonna whoop him again!

yes all they do is show the same things over and over, the only thing they show that is new is the ultimate fighter.
