Breath-holding spells are a common issue in little children. It is usually just a frustration thing...they get all riled up and mad and then they hold their breath until they pass out. They are sometimes confused with seizures.

because they are throwing a temper tantrum trying to get attention. let them hold their breath and pass out. nothing terrible is going to happen to the little brats.

I doubt you did that...she was probably afraid you were going to pass out....usually during a crying fit....lol...but if one did pass out....breathing starts...

they do it because they think they can get attention or get what they want by threatening us.....
My 3yo girl tried that once, and she got mad when I went right on reading my paper...she fell on the ground and pretended to pass out, but then she got mad when i didnt even flinch.....HA HA, she never tried that again

because they have to make sure they have lungs so they can breath throw there month what ever they r breathing out of.

they either forget to breath, because they are really young, or some do it on pupose, because it gives them a high, a good feeling
