because saying he/him is a generalization of the statement, such as i walk up to a group of men and woman, and i say hey guys. im not excluding the woman but merely including them in the generalized statement. instead of saying hi men and women. Plus this religion came about in an era where men were superior to women. im sure anyone who came up with the idea that god could be woman were stoned or killed in one way or another.
