It clearly says in Deuteronomy 24:5 that newly married men are not allowed in the army, and must stay home and enjoy their wives for the first year of marriage, doesn't it?

Or are we free to only obey those biblical principles which suit us?

Of course America is not a Christian nation. I'm so many are still aware of this! I continue to be amused by how many folks say that Jesus "freed" his followers from OT law, but then want everyone to follow the Ten Suggestions and want them posted in schools & courts!

America was founded a Christian Nation. You walk into the Supreme Court the first thing you see is Moses holding The Ten Commandments.
Every senate meeting is started with prayer. The first thing the Pilgrims
did when they set foot on American soil was to pray. That is why we are in such a mess today.
When I started school the worst thing that could happen is be caught with chewing gum or for girls to wear blue jeans. Now they us
metal detectors to catch guns and knives before someone gets shot
or stabbed. The BIBLE can not Lie God told what would happen when God is taken out of the nation.

Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
In Christ in Love,

America IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION. America is a secular country based on the separation of church and state. Based on religious freedom. And no matter how much the powers that be are trying to change that, it still is what it is! SECULAR

The United States is NOT a "Christian nation." It is a SECULAR nation. That's right: there's no established religion. The Bible doesn't signify in US law.

Well it might help if you "knew" the Bible. The Old Testament was the Law BEFORE Jesus came onto the scene. We are living under the NEW LAW which Jesus began.........or are you trying to "get out" of military service?? Is that the real question?

The Army is voluntary. I would think this would be better suited to ask during a draft situation.

I believe that in Israel young men are required to serve in the military.

God bless ya.
