Afraid it's not as simple as that .... the citizen will have to petition him/her ... background checks will be made, which will reveal that he/she was in this country illegally to start with .... he/she will probably be allowed to stay in the country while the background investigations were carried out, but he/she may not be allowed a green card at the end of it ... best to see an attorney about matters like that ....

maybe, maybe not. the immigration process if SO much more complicated than people think. but he will have a better chance because his wife can sponsor him. however, if he has ever lied about being a US citizen, to get a job or anything, he will be automatically barred. i am not "pro-illegal" but I get mad when people are like "just come legally it's not that hard" because actually it IS

No its not legal... he will still be illegal until you fill out the paper work and submit it and they will send a reply. But until you send in paper work and get a reply he is illegal.

just because you are illegal doesn't mean you become a citizen. its false. how do i know? because i married a russian who wasn't born here but came here for school.
