Crock Pot Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce
Serving Size: 6

6 Pork Chops, thick
2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Pepper
1/8 Tsp Sage
1 (10-3/4 oz can) 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Tbsp Onion Flakes, dried

Trim the excess fat from the chops and use it to grease a large skillet. Over high heat, brown each chop lightly on both sides. Salt and pepper each as it finishes and place it in the crock pot.

Add the sage. Pour the soup (undiluted) and the onion flakes into the still hot skillet. Scrape the pan juices and turn them into the crock pot.

Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours.

Dip in flour mixed w/ salt & black pepper.

Fry in hot oil so the coating will stick, cut down heat to finish cooking, making sure the coating gets crispy.

Place on paper towels, then make your gravy w/ some of the left over grease. Just add flour, stir til brown, then remove pan from heat, add water, stirring constantly.

Put pot of gravy back on low heat & stir til desired flavor & thickness. Add s&p to your taste. Serve over white rice w/ pork chops on the side.

One heckava good Southern dish.

if you like fried, Mix Grill Mates Montreal Steak rub into your flour and deep fry.
If you like baked use grill mates again or sometimes i use Italian salad dressing and enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. could also throw in an onion

I like to fry them up, and use the grease to make gravy. Put the pork chops back in - smothered pork chops! With mash potatoes, green beans, and rolls. It is the bomb!
