While I like a PAID version of Norton Anti-virus (but not the Internet Security edition), you mght try AVG

I have used AVG free for almost 2 years now, and have not had a single problem. They do free updates, and constantly update their virus definitions. It is a really good, easy to use program.

Download the update as well.
Better than Norton as it's not a memory hog.

for example u can try avg anti virus,macafee,ewido antivirus, norton antivirus etc.
