You only need to stop at a green light if you're turning left, and then only to wait for traffic to clear. If you're going straight ot turning right, you never need to stop. If you meant do you need to stop for red if you're turning right, yes you do. You must always stop for a red light, though most places let you make a right turn after you make sure traffic's clear.

No you do not have to stop at a green light to turn right but there are signs (or should have signs) that say YIELD, just incase someone coming in the opposite direction does not hit you trying to run a red light.

I think you would have to stop if there is a yield sign ("Must yield on green")near the light signal. But usually the sign is for left turns ("Left must yield on green"). I think you would be best looking out into the road a bit ahead and behind you to see if it's safe before you make your turn.

maybe in Europe. In the US you have to yeild to oncoming traffic if you are making a Left at a green light. If you are in a country that drives on the opposite side on the street from us than I guess you would yield when turning right.

It depends!
If there are pedestrians crossing the road you're turning on to, then yes.
Even though you have the right of way over other cars, people are generally poor drivers. Given education levels in this country, you can usually count on at least one person doing something phenomenally stupid at any given intersection at any given time.

Nope. You only have to slow down. You do however have to yield to oncoming traffic if turning left. (United States)
