I think that's a great idea. We need to gain some control and decide what will be done with all of the illegals that we have now in this country before we welcome even more immigrants.

No, you can't blame the good people for the illegals. We need to seal the border completely, and then go after the illegals. We need to impose some kind of reward system.

For example, when Elizabeth Dole was the Secretary of Transportation, the state of Kansas wanted to upgrade their highways. She refused to allow federal money to be used until the state imposed a seatbelt law for everyone riding in the front seat of an automobile. The measure was pushed through and up until at least 1995 (maybe even to this day), there hadn't been a single fatality of a person wearing a seatbelt. I don't know if that is still true but her smart thinking saved a lot of lives.

We need to have some kind of system in place where states requiring money from the government need to crack down on their illiegal immigrants on their own before they get any. Arizona probably has the worst problem and the governor is doing the least to help. She is even blocking measures that her constituents are voting for.

Stop the federal funds from going to deabeat governors and please vote Janet out of office if you live in Arizona.

Yes I Think It Would Help

But For Only A Period Long Enough To
DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS UPON DISCOVERY
And Get The Borders Secure

About Five Years

We LOVE Our Immigrants
But ILLEGAL ALIENS
Are Destroying Our Economy And Infrastructure
We MUST Get A Handle On It

Until We Do
ALL Immigration Must Stop

No, neither a good nor a feasible idea ... there are people who have been waiting for years for their green cards ... you can't just cut them off with a stroke of a pen because of illegal immigration ... there will always be valid reasons for immigration, family ties, business, what have you ... no, we have to concentrate on ILLEGAL immigration, securing our borders and go back to enforcing existing immigration laws ... no need for any "comprehensive reform" package ... all the laws we need we already have, including guest worker programs .... it's all bullcrap and hot air from this administration .... we really shouldn't let them get away with it ... do they think Americans are that stupid?? Obviously they do ... let's show them otherwise in November ....

I think this is a very good and sane question compared to others I have seen asked on here and I agree with it.Stop all immigration and that way everyone can just work on what to do with all the illegal immigrants. And this way nobody can say that only a certain group of people are being excluded or singled out.

No ... I need to disagree with that 100% , dealing with illegal immigrants is like dealing with terrorist. We can not give in , and we can not change our ways , because of their actions.

Doing the right thing should never be compromised, allow people to come into America legally, we need swift action against illegals, and strict enforcement of immigration laws.

That's cruel and fascist. Why do people who are trying to do things right have to suffer because of a situation the government can't fix? You should read some history about immigration son...

It would help, but its not really practical.
And I think the government isn't really trying as hard as they can to be stopping illegal immigration. If they did, we wouldn't have the problem.

No...

The only way to stop illegal immigration is to go after those hiring, as that is the source.

No jobs/money = no need to come over.
